This sleek modern towel rail is popular for both modern homes and hotels, boasting a minimal style using mitred edges and clean straight lines. The Modernton is available as an electric heated towel rail, a conventional hot water plumbed into the central heating system and a dual fuel option using an electric heated element whilst plumbed in to the system.
Manufactured in England using 1 ¼” (32mm) brass tube for its outer legs and 7/8” (22mm) brass tube for its inner rails. The outer rail cuffs are milled and sculpted to sit around the 1 ¼” (32mm) tube which are then soldered together, for the inner 7/8” (22mm) tube rails to sit into. The tube legs are mitred and hand soldered together for a seamless minimal corner.
The electric heated towel rail option uses a low-energy trace-heating cable fitted inside of the rails that exits through a wall mount into the wall, completely hidden. Using the electric heated towel rail makes the Modernton a perfect electric towel rail for bathrooms, as it requires no extra valves or cover shrouds, allowing the Modernton to retain its minimal style.
Using Opus’s unique trace-heating cable makes this electric heated towel rail superior to any of its competition that requires valves and cover shrouds. This electric towel rail for bathrooms uses its unique cable to benefit in retaining its minimal aesthetic with no possible way of leaks, allowing thinner tube to be used and requiring no added joints.
The Modernton towel radiator is available in a range of finishes; with the ability to match other manufacturer finishes incl. Dornbracht Cyprum, and Hansgrohe brushed red gold.
The Modernton is most popular in its electric heated towel rail configuration, which boasts its minimal style off best, using hexavalent chromium electrolysis for a higher quality chrome electric towel rail to other similar chrome electric towel rails on the market.
In an ambient temperature of 20 degrees the towel radiator will operate at 55 – 65 degrees. Dimmer switches are available for the Modernton in its electric heated towel rail configuration to control the temperature of the towel radiator in the same finish as the towel rail.
